HYPOKALCEMIX
It's a nutritional additive whose ingredients
are useful to supplement the feed of dairy cows
to prevent some problems which are originate by
nutrition, such as hypocalcemic syndrome.
In the pre-and post-partum periods dairy cows
and buffalos can be affected by a sudden lack of
calcium in blood (hypocalcamia). Hypocalcamia
leads to a decrease of muscular activity, a
reduction of ruminal motility and a loss of feed
intake; a long-lasting hypocalcamia can lead to
placental retention and to puerperal collapse
(Milk Fever). |
