Zinc is an Enzymatic cofactor in many cellular reactions, and in the synthesis and production of hormones (Somatotrophic hormone); it helps mantaining the integrity of membranes and epithelium. It's essential in the cicatrization processes, and plays an important role in the activation of the immune system, as well as improving response to stress conditions and increasing fertility.
